iPad 2: Online Orders Start Shipping, New Orders Delayed, Jailbroken Already
If you ordered the iPad 2 online when it was first available in the wee hours of Friday last week, you may have learned your unit is shipping. Apparently some WiFi and Verizon iPad 2 units have started the process. In a move unusual for Apple, online orders seem to have taken a back seat to in store purchases.
In the past, you had the ability to pre-order products from Apple. Usually the delivery day coordinated with the in-store on sale date. Meaning smart online customers received their products the ame date without the hassles of line waiting. Not so this time around. In fact, we are informed the earliest online orders will hit will be Wed or Thursday this week. What’s worse, if you didn’t set your alarm Friday morning to place your order, online orders have been getting pushed back from 2-3 weeks, to 3-4 weeks.
All this extra time waiting means that when you get your iPad 2 you’ll now be able to Jailbreak it according to Engadget. Yup, that didn’t…

I for one am very happy. We keep our corporate budgets, and more online in our Google Apps Docs. Now we can add data at will no matter our location.

Apple Sells 3 Millionth iPad in Under 3 Months!
Imagine if there were no delays in orders…
10 Days with the iPad: 10 Likes and 10 Dislikes
I’ve had my iPad 10 days now. I use it every day. As does my almost 6-year old son. Actually, he uses it more than I do. Although I waited to buy the 32GB 3G version, I haven’t yet enabled the cellular service - I really like the fact that I can enable it on a month-by-month basis when needed. Right now I’m using it mostly around the house over Wi-Fi, and my son uses it on car trips - no internet connection needed.
